Spread the Love

What do you imagine when you hear the word, "Earth"?

Is it the deep, flowing rivers of the Mississippi, the arctic glaciers of the North Pole, or the rushing waterfalls in Belize? Perhaps it's the arid Sahara, the Australian outback, or the clear blue sky overlooking the Greek isles.

Whatever you imagine, remember all these natural wonders and resources are finite. They continue to change and shift and evolve as time passes. What you see today is radically different 50 years ago and it will be just as different 50 years in the future. That's the beauty of nature....it's so dynamic.

For Earth Day, we'd like to take a moment to appreciate the world around us, in its natural state without human development, human cultivation, and human interference. Untouched by man, nature leaves us in awe.

Let us know what are your favorite natural wonders!

Tips for Camping

As the weather warms up, it's time to start planning those camping trips.

I love the rugged outdoors and whether it's short hike to see the sunset or a relaxing vacation to see roaming bison, it's always an adventure I'll never forget. Whether you stay at the cabins in Yellowstone or camp under the stars in Yosemite, here are a few tips to consider as you enjoy the natural wonders of the world.
  1. Leave no trace behind: keep the area that you stay as pristine as when you found it...or cleaner if you discover any rubbish along the way
  2. Protect your surroundings: stay on the marked trails and follow park rules. Don't pick the flora and fauna unnecessarily!
  3. Buy local: support the local economy by purchasing foodstuffs or souvenirs from family-run shops. You're keeping the locals happy and you may bring back something hand-crafted
  4. Pack light: The less you bring, the less you need to carry
  5. Go off the grid: turn off your electronics, put away your gadgets, and go explore!

Get the Look: Indie Rock

Coachella Rocker

While the boho style is often associated to musical festivals, this year's lineup features several indie rock bands. At the tents, the audience has a love of leather that cannot be denied. Whether real or faux, we love a good rock outfit.

To keep it simple, we have the Amour Vert Allison tee as the main focal point. The other items are in neutral colors of black, white, and gray. Mixing metals is a little rebellious but who doesn't love to break rules every once in a while?

Let us know how you'd style our Allison tee!

Amour Vert on Wheel of Fortune

Growing up, one of my favorite game shows was Wheel of Fortune. I'd tune in every episode just to see what dress Vanna White would wear. She was always decked in the most fabulous gowns and she was one of my early influencers into the world of fashion.

On the show, she never wears the same dress twice and in the most recent taping, Vanna White wore the Amour Vert Dahlia dress! Not only did she wear the dress for the show, but she's keeping it too.

Get your own Dahlia dress in blue or green and let us know how you wear it!

Get the Look: Boho Coachella

Casual Coachella

In a few short weeks, thousands will travel to Southern California's Coachella Valley for the annual music festival.

While most people come for the shows, Coachella is more than just a multi-day concert. As a retreat into the desert, the campgrounds allow many to mingle and experience the nomadic lifestyle. Plus, we love looking at the creative fashions attributed to each music genre. It's so intriguing when different musical styles and sartorial statements collide in a single location.

The bohemian look is the most common theme in any music festival and taking cues from the summer trends, we're showing how to style our Kenna dress for Coachella.

How would you style this striped dress? Let us know in the comments!

Broadway on TV

I love musicals.

From the classics to off Broadway productions, there's something so magical when you escape into the theater and watch a dramatic story unfold. Singing, dancing, acting...it's baffling how these performers can do it all almost every night.

Watching Glee on TV is like the next best thing to live performances. But since Smash has hit NBC, I'm hooked! Broadway veteran, Megan Hilty and American Idol runner-up, Katharine McPhee, star as rivals competing to play Marilyn Monroe for the developing musical production. With all the drama, the dancing, and the gorgeous costumes...what's not to love?

The show just released it's 8th episode, so get caught up while you can!
